Antonio Feraco, Dr. Ing. Antonio Feraco – Innovative technologist, innovation consultant, and business strategist with expertise in technology transfer, innovation, business development and learning.
Dr. Ing. Antonio Feraco is Chief Business Development Officer at the Fraunhofer IDM@NTU project centre in Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. He owns a PhD in Artificial Intelligence and Psychology of Programming focusing the major of his activities in developing business models for Interactive Digital Media.
His work focuses in merging the industry needs with novel interactive and digital solutions developed by Fraunhofer. Fraunhofer Singapore, that belongs to the largest Applied Research Institution in Europe, enhances the usage of Interactive Digital Media through the continuous experimentation of new interactive paradigm and devices, such as multi-touch table and or leap motion sensors, coping them with intuitive interfaces trying to optimize the overall cognitive processes of information gathering and management from big data.
He managed various international projects related to energy efficiency and embedded systems in robotics. In the specific he was in charge of the business development and exploitation activities of an Artemis JU project, R3-COP, and of the dissemination and business validation activities of a Support Action of FP7 in Energy Efficiency, REViSITE.
He has worked for the CAMTech, Centre for Advanced Media Technology, in the School of Computer Science of the Nanyang Technological University (NTU) of Singapore, a joint venture between the Fraunhofer Institute for Graphics and the NTU for almost a year as a project officer where he developed market and feasibility analysis, business plans and project proposal for the Singaporean Masterplan for MDA (Media Development Authority).
His expertise also includes technical systems analysis, technology transfer strategies implementation and scientific communication skills.
Apart from his business and management activities, he also delivers for industry and academia in Management of Innovation Processes and Technology Transfer Strategies.He also delivered Marketing Strategies and Research Methodologies in several academic institutions for MBA modules, such as in the University of Zagreb (HR), Nanyang Technological University in Singapore, University of Calabria in Italy, Leeds Metropolitan University and Manchester Metropolitan University (UK).
He published a book entitled: ‘An essay approach to marketing research’, Access Press, 2011, and several papers in the field of consumer and corporate behaviours.
